Will is now a 2-year-old!

This Thursday Will turned the wonderful age of 2. We asked what he wanted for his birthday and he requested a "tractor cake". I am not much of a cake decorator, but I made the attempt.


We thought it would be messy, with the black frosting and all, but Will stayed relatively clean.
Clark took Will on a bus ride . . . his favorite thing to do with Dad.

Our garden!!

Thanks to Steph, we got hooked up and now have our first family garden. It's in the cemetary, which is a little creepy, especially because Will found a bone and was carrying it around. We have decided to plant potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, onions, cucumbers, beets, garlic, cilantro, and green beans. We are hoping it is a success.



Will found several "little snakes" (worms) that he liked to push around in his dump truck. He got excited everytime Clark found a new one. I, on the other hand, was not quite as thrilled.

My hair!!!!

For the past few years now I have gone back and forth . . . should I cut my hair or leave it long? Well, the answer finally came in the Tuesday Laramie Boomerang. The front page article was about a 12-year-old girl that donated her hair to Locks of Love. I researched it and thought it was a fantastic idea. However, I had a terrible dream last night about going to a Relief Society activity and everyone there had gorgeous, long, flowing hair and there I was with a crew cut. I woke up and decided I better cut it today before I change my mind. Here's the before and after.

Mother's Day and more

This past week we spent hanging out with Bob, Paul, Amy and Josh because my parents had a romantic trip to Tahiti. We had so much fun! We went to Josh's soccer game, we played Go Fish and the squirt bottle game (only a few of you may know what that is), made vanilla ice cream and Rosie started eating real foods! She totally gnawed a graham cracker and a club cracker. This first pic is of her after she ate the graham cracker:


It snowed yesterday and I couldn't find Will's coat (we were at my parent's house) so I used Amy's old coat. Hopefully Will can forgive me someday for making him wear a girl's coat!

For Mother's Day, Will picked me two flowers. I don't know whose yard they are from, but it melted my heart nevertheless. How fun to be a mother on Mother's Day!!
Yes, Will has a new trick . . . hanging onto the fridge door for as long as his muscles can take.

Weekly Update

This was another great week. Will painted a picture with Parker on Monday. We went to Washington Park Tuesday. Clark and I played volleyball with some friends on Thursday and I realized I am as unathletic as I thought . . . but Clark was nice about it. He kept saying, "Good effort, honey!" I had a lot of fun still. On Friday, Betsy came over and we watched "Becoming Jane." I can't decide if I liked it or not. I think it was too sad for me. I like the typical "everything works out at the end" sort of movies.
